just out of curiosity:
I've always wondered this but never really bothered to ask.
I know when you stand up too fast you can get headrush, but why sometimes after standing up or drying my face after washing do i get those wierd little things that look like little electrical bugs flying around my peripheral vision. what are they and what causes them?

what a work of art is man, and the most boring choice you can make

they're called floaters. they're little bits of protein floating around in your eye goo.

as far as i know, everyone has some of them, and usually a lot of them is a bad sign (i have fairly bad vision and i see them all the time)
it's eye cancer, you're going to die.

Sounds more like you're "seeing stars", I get the same thing when I sneeze particularly hard.
If they were floaters I'd imagine you'd see them all the time.

edit: I believe the scientific explanation is the re-expansion of blood vessels in your eyes after pressure has been applied.

edit2: Sorry about the double post, between the forum's recent lag time and my internet connection at work being uncooperative, it looks like I accidentally double posted.
