A long time ago someone linked me to a program that creates a 2D visualization of data on your HDD. It could be sorted to show you how large folders were in relation to others, and things like that.

Does anyone know what it's called?

If you can wait I know exactly the program you're thinking of (maybe). Does it have little Pacman's while it loads?

WinDiff, I think it's call. Have to get home to check. But there are many alternatives, but I like this one as it has a clean interface and small foot-print. And it's fast.

    Edit: WinDirStat. That's the one.

SequoiaView was the first program that did this, that I found back in the 90's at least.
