So I got a really bad second degree sunburn on my shoulders/back/chest, and it blistered and was a pain the the ass, and now the blisters are gone but when I was drying off from my shower today I peeled some skin off. It felt weird, and its not like usual sunburn skin peel, the skin underneath is pink and pus from the blisters was under the peeling skin. I'm just wondering if this is a normal sort of thing for such a severe burn, or am I just losing skin and becomming like a zombie

I think that's normal for a severe burn.

Just to be safe have your family lock you in a secure room though

Yeah, that's normal for a really bad burn. I got burned that badly a few years back, and had small little blisters everywhere. The blisters were gone within a day, and everything healed normally after that.

ok, should I rub some neosporin all over myself to help the healing process/avoid infection?

I don't see why not. Neo/Polysporin is key in all of my injuries but I've never been badly burned.

    Yes, definitely use neosporin.

(And yes, that's completely normal--I had the same pinkish skin after I burnt my arm via oven stupidness.)

Just a warning-- it might not be itching/hurting right now (mine didn't right away) but then it'll start hurting like a bitch. For me, it was even worse than the moment I actually burnt my arm.
