I don't think that's a bad suggestion. Don't knock it till you've tried it, anyway. ;-)
But it is kind of funny that you don't like the rest of the album, since Electric Feel is apparently such an outlier that even my mom listens to it. (Time to Pretend and Kids are both pretty awesome though, you have to admit.)
Edit: I would suggest Ganglians as a possible match for someone who likes Electric Feel. None of their stuff sounds like it belongs on an MGMT album, but I think you should at least check them out, since they're not too dissimilar. Their song "Hair," which I like a lot, is a free download from that link. You might also like Gang Gang Dance. (Who knows?)

that's the thing, i love bowie and i have no idea where that comparison came from, haha.
thanks for the recommendations, everyone! as soon as i get back home, i'll hit up itunes and check all of these out.
I'd definitely agree with Passion Pit (particularly the Reeling) and anything from Animal Collective, especially their latest album (amazing all around). Empire of the Sun as well. Additional suggestions though...
If you liked more of the album I'd suggest maybe some of their influences, like the Flaming Lips or the Sparks, something along those lines. But since that isn't the case, dunno what else to tell you. :? I agree it's a great song but like Fletcher says dunno what it is about Electric Feel that makes it the only worthwhile song on the album. These may be too much like the entire album and not enough like Electric Feel but it's worth a try.

Haha, looks like I beat you by 30 seconds or something.
I'd have to second M83 (love them) and Midnight Juggernauts as well. Haven't heard the others though, so guess this thread gave me something to do as well.
