Anyone know anything about filemaker databases?

I'm trying to have some fields in a related table post from a calculation but it only seems to be working off of the first related record and not all of them. Any ideas?

I can go into more details of my db structure if needed.

I think more details will be needed, fairly vague at the moment...
I'm assuming MySQL? What's the calculation, relation, etc...

no error message. it's just behaving differently.

I had permissions set up for users that prevent them from accessing records. all set by a variable. Now they can't view the records through portals.

my it guy thinks it's because he just copy and pasted the file without having proper access, but if everything else works, that sounds silly

edit: nope. just recopied db with no luck

Mac or PC version of Filemaker? Is one computer running Pro and the other Server?

Also, does it really need to be moved?

Server is running server, I'm running pro. Problem was solved by clearing the records (thankfully I'm still building the thing)

It did need to be moved because it went from our local in house server to our secure one off in a farm

aaaand it's back. Any idea how limited access could prevent portals from working where the user has access to the records?

So they have access to all the records and the forms needed to run the portals? That would be my first line of thinking, that they might not be allowed to view some part of it that is causing everything to go tits-up.

I've been sifting through the permissions with a fine tooth comb and can't see it. For the time being I'm locking down some fields so that they just can't access a field that would let them search for data they shouldn't see
