You know, I just realized how Doom could sweep this tournament.

Step One) Transfer consciousness to competitor.
Step Two) Deliver body a fatal wound.
    Step Three) Switch back.

I have a feeling he's far too noble for this, though.

Anyway, I don't really see what chance Ivy has over a master planner like Doom. Doom takes it easily.

I'd really like to give fight two to Electro, but he's just not smart enough. Mystique probably blends in and gets all the Pentagon guys after him; she doesn't even have to fight him directly, and he has no way of finding her besides killing everyone in the building.

Batman beats Ivy and all he's got is brains and some kung fu. Ivy's gonna have trouble even slowing Doom down.

And I gotta go to bat for Mystique again. He may have a higher power level, but he's still a punk kid compared to her.

Uhh Mystique is totally a member of the X-Men now.

So this fight is really Doom vs the X-Men.

I think I still give it to Doom.

Well Mystique is much more prone to bullets than Electro, so the Pentagon guards could attack her on sight(It's kind of hard to avoid being shot by shapeshifting if the first thing that they see is you shapeshifting).

Also I go with Doom. The X-Men know what kind of threat he is, and Cyclops, being a tactical person, is going to want to take down the threat in their home that they have no idea who the hell they are. Though they may not know who she is, chances are if Ivy sees the X-Men first, she might swing first. Either way, Emma would probably probe her mind to see what the hell is going on, find out she's a villain by probing a bit deeper, and fuck her up first.

Is Doom immune to telepathy/psychic control at all?

    Sorry! I misread the thing.

Doom is protected from being controlled by chemical means, and presumably he has psychic shielding in his mask or something.

Basically, my point is that the X-Men are no match for Doom.

No way in hell Mystique is taking out Electro. She fires bullets, he knocks them out of the air with bursts of electricity, or just fries her on the spot.

My vote is with Electro; He has the dumbest looking mask in the tournament, but he's going to light Mystique up like a neon billboard before she can even get a shot off.

Poison Ivy's chemicals are just that.

    Chemicals.

His air supply is filtered, you know?

And if his suit protects him from the Purple Man's pheromones, it will certainly do the same for Ivy's stuff.

Not that he even needs to be protected, as his will is easily powerful enough to break any hold Ivy might ever have on him.

Just as it was powerful enough to overrule Purple Man's control over him.

Electro has this in the bag. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Pentagon full of wiring? Monitors, outlets, computers?

It's like a big playground to him. He can appear anywhere at any time, probably tap into the surveillance system somehow and shit.

Electro is easily one of Spidey's most powerful adversaries. In a place as heavily reliant on electricity as the Pentagon, he is going to be nigh-impossible to stop.

This is true. The Pentagon is huge, has a shit ton of people working in it, and is very much a maze in parts.

This fight is pretty interesting actually. Mystique has Electro out-brained by a pretty large margin, and there's almost nowhere that would be a better place for her to hide, but how can she even get to him? I think in a real fight it would basically be Electro vs. the Pentagon's defenses, but that would be kind of a cheesy way for Mystique to win.

If he wants to be a winner he will be. :)

Like you said, it'g a giant office building there would be pleanty of electric wiring and things like that that would let him use his powers very well.

Electro is dumb. He has the power, but not the imagination or creativity to use it effectively except in a few notable situations. He's pretty much a snatch and grab guy, and he's been defeated by water on more than one occasion. All Mystique needs to do is start a small fire.

If it's the real world version then, yeah, Mystique could be fucked.
