Yes, it's time for the new science thread and to start things rolling I'm linking to a good lecture on TED by Mary Roach (author of Bonk) on 10 things you didn't know about orgasms.

Although there's no human nudity shown, simply due to the subject matter and the fact that there's a very amusing segment showing a sow being stimulated during artificial insemination, you may not want to watch that at work.

    I finally got word back from Cyberdyne that I will definitely be part of the initial US trials for a HAL suit, about 2 weeks ago.

    The questionnaire and phone interview I did ages ago. Then I did another round about a month and a half ago.

    I emailed some medical info over shortly before I left for NOLA, and when I got back my phone dinged at like 11pm one night and HOLY SHIT I GOT IN HOLY SHIT.


    Evidently they had never even considered an incomplete-quad being over 175cm, and I'm 196.

    While the suit they'll introduce to the general public won't have the same features, the trial suits will be a combination of the rescue and assistive, so with a bit of adjustment....

    The device is intended for roadside use by law enforcement agencies and includes a disposable plastic cartridge and a handheld analyzer.     Psychopaths have brain structure abnormality
    Scientists have long searched for a biological basis for psychopathy, a behavioral disorder attributed to chronic immorality. While previous studies have found no clear evidence, Professor Declan Murphy of the Institute of Psychiatry at King's College London believes he has found an area of the brain that is decidedly different in a psychopath as compared to a normal person.

    It's a part of the brain called uncinate fasciculus.
