I'm a poor uni student and I keep looking for jobs and I always see these "Work online at home, blah blah" type jobs on joblisting sites and I assume they are all usually some kind of scam. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there were things like this that are actually legit?

Most of those scams just want to charge you for advice on how to employ yourself at home. There are jobs where you do some or all of your work from home, but they are usually pretty specific and particular.

So instead of thinking about who to work for from home, you might have more luck thinking about things you could make, sell, or do from home.

If you like to write, you could try associated content or a similar writing site. The pay isn't fantastic at first, but if you can build up a large base of well-written articles about topics people care about...like, I don't know, games?...the passive income can be pretty sweet.

It takes quite a bit of work with little reward at first, though.

It's impossible to argue for the purity of the English language, because English has been known to get other languages drunk, follow them down dark alleys, beat them unconscious, and then rifle through their pockets for loose vocabulary.

Maybe check into transcription services? It's basically getting audio, and typing it out. My mom did it for awhile, basically working for another local person who got the work and dolled it out to my mom and a couple other people. She did use a special device, which was basically a food pedal that would pause and rewind a couple seconds as the audio was playing. And it was the more you type, the more you earn kind of thing. Something to maybe look into, but it does take up a lot of your time.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be looking into that Associated Press stuff, and that transcription stuff sounds like it'd work if I can find someone who needs it done.
