I am moving from Kansas City MO to Lawrence KS, it is not far but I just dont seem to like the area, I love Kansas City and dont want to leave but I am going to school again. It is is a college town and I feel old there (I am only 25 but most people there are under 21 it seems).
Any idea how I could meet people into gaming and the like?
Step one: Search for "Lawrence KS gaming" on Google. It came up with several game stores (such as www.htgames.com which looks promising). Check their websites to see if they have any scheduled gaming events, especially ones that are open to newcomers, then show up (prior communication with organizers wouldn't hurt either).
Even if the stores don't specifically offer events, you should be able to find contacts through the store owners.

I'm assuming that you're going to KU since you're moving to Lawrence. I'm sure KU has gaming clubs (console, tabletop, whatever) that you can join. KU isn't exactly a small university, so you should have an easy time hooking up with like-minded students.
Lawrence has probably the single greatest collection of liberal, like-minded twenty-somethings in the state of KS. You won't have a problem finding cool people. There are a lot of good bars and hangout spots.
