This website posulates that I can spend 49 dollars, and get Madden NFL 10 for the 360, AND 28 issues of Sports Illustrated for 50 dollars.

It seems way to good to be true, and the front page of the website has a big ole entry for my CC number. So I'm a little hesitant.

Has anyone heard of this offer before?

It's kosher. Saw something about this on Joystiq or Ars. I mean, that's the Time, Inc. subscription website--one of the largest magazine publishers in the world. I don't think they're scamming people.

Saw a TV commercial for it. I'm sure it's legit but that doesn't mean they're not trying to screw you somewhere in the fine print.

and the catch was it takes 6-12 weeks for the game to ship.

I'm not 100% sure but I also think that if you don't get at least a year of the magazine (I think it comes with 6 months), then they charge you a partial refund for the game.

If you're looking for good deals on magazine subs, hit up ebay. 4 years ago now I had "bought" a magazine subscription deal: 3 years Maxim, Stuff, and FHM, and 1 year of Penthouse. I paid $10 in total.

Apparently this has to do with the magazines being more interested in subscriber count than money paid by subscribers (they get more money from advertising). Stuff and FHM got canceled and I am still getting Maxim even though I shouldn't. Sadly the Penthouse sub actually ended after the first year.
