So the other day the trackpad on this laptop (which is a viao) went nuts. The cursor was flying widly arround the screen with no relation the movements i was making with my finger. This has happened once before, but fixed itself both times when I restarted my laptop.
I only got in february so I imagine I can still exchange it.
Is this something thats likely to keep happening?
The frustrating thing obviously would be taking it back the shop and being like "Ok I know its fine now, but it was broken before...honest."
Should I take it back? Or is there a way to stop it happening agian in future?
Is it a thermal touch pad or pressure touch pad? I have a HP laptop with a thermal pad and if I grab a cold drink I can't use the touch pad until my finger is both dry and warm again. It basically sends the cursor either in completely random directions or doesn't move it at all.
If it's a pressure pad, you could be stressing the case with your wrists enough to make the pad think it's being pressed.
