Ponyo: What happens when the Japanese attempt The Little Mermaid?

So this guy named Miyazaki has made some films. Maybe you've heard of Sprited Away or Naussicaa of the Valley of the Wind or Howl's Moving Castle. He has done some other films I guess maybe you've seen those too.
Well he has a new movie that just came out in the States today
It is called Ponyo and was shorted from the original title of Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea and is partly inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's story The Little Mermaid. I don't think anyone can deny this claim.
It has the voice talents of
Miley Cyrus' little sister
the youngest Jonas Brother (not actually in the band)
Matt Damon (in the most underused voice talent of the year)
Liam Neeson
Cate Blanchett
Tina Fey
Lily Tomlin
and the exceptional Betty White

It was pretty good. It was cute and had all the wonder and whimsy you would expect from a Miyazaki film. Spirited Away is still my favorite but I liked it better than Howl's blah blah blah. Miyazaki does this thing sometimes were the conflict is just "oh no nature is out of balance" and the resolution is just "thank god nature is back in balance." It definitely felt more like a kid's movie than all the other Studio Ghibli films I've seen.
So yeah anyone else check this out? I would recommend seeing District 9 instead unless you really like all that faggy anime crap. In which case feel free to talk about other stupid anime crap but only if it is something I've seen
