Trying to find a song I heard years ago (LOCK PLEASE)
About a decade ago when ah wis a wee laddie I was walking down the street in Daytona Beach and heard this song coming from inside one of the stores/restuarants/bars or something. I have no idea who was singing it but I remember some of the lyrics and they're pretty distinctive. It was kind of a blues song and went like this (phonetic spelling to try to convey the accent):
One time I was sittin playin my fiddle
This girl comes by and says "I play a little"
So she grabs my fiddle and starts pullin' de bow.
So I can't git it up no' mo'.
No I can't git it up no' mo'. (This was most of the chorus)
I have never, ever seen this song anywhere on the internet. I have searched for these lyrics (there was a LOT more to the song than this but it's been ten years) and simply cannot find it. I don't know if this was some crazy improv stuff, some original composition by an unsigned band, or simply a song by a performer I'm not familiar with, but I've been dying to hear it again because it's funny as hell. Anybody who can tell me who did this gem gets a cookie, anybody with a youtube link gets two.
