Major audio issues

I just got back home from a vacation and I left my laptop at home only to come back to it and to not have any audio what-so-ever. Oddly enough my music plays normally through my itunes but i cannot get audio coming out of anywhere else, not from youtube or any other site. I went to my "sounds and audio devices" in the control pannel and it says there is no audio device. I have no idea what could have possibly happened, let alone how I can listen to music on itunes and not get a single sound from any where else. Any ideas?

Try downloading and reinstalling the drivers?

Also, check and make sure you don't have anything muted... I've done that more than once. =)

Is it just the browser that isn't playing sound? Check your settings there, make sure that audio is allowed and that the correct sound card/driver is selected.

The problem did go away for a few days but just today a window popped up and it says itunes has found a problem with your audio/video device, and it wont play it through itunes at all now.

In my control pannel it says i dont have any audio device installed what so ever.
