Had a power surge today while the PS3 was turned on... the PS3 is plugged into a surge protector... after the surge the PS3 shut off, will not boot up at all. No lights, non-responsive to the power button or the controls.
Tried different taking it off the surge strip and putting it in the wall. No dice. Everything else on the strip is still powering.
I'm guessing no lights at all is a very bad thing.
Wasn't a cheap surge strip either.
It's only 1 month old, is this under warranty?
*edit*
After unplugging it for about 10 minutes, it appears to boot now... should I still hit up Sony support? I am worried about circuit damage... but I don't know if that non-responsive state is intentional...
A game was running but there was no chance of HD activity at the time... am I safe?
