The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So I'm working on a project (not homework) and I need to basically separate out some of the major free email providers from lists of email addresses. Obviously I came up with yahoo.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com - but what are some of the others that might come up the most often so I can atleast sort out maybe the top 5 or 10 of them?

Awesome lists thanks! Is AOL a free email provider now BTW? That link says "in principle they list it" - does that mean it's free or just that AOL users are a PITA?

Would institutional emails count as free? You obviously have to be a member of a given institution, but students would generally have free email accounts provided to them by their university/college.
no - we're more concerned with free email providers meaning I could easily create a free email adddress with google to make me look like Free Smith with no way to track it down.
10minutemail.com is an interesting service. You get an email addy for 10 minutes with which you can only receive email. Not sure if that's something you would be looking for.
Great for putting in an email for things where you just know spam will be coming.

Seems the same as mailinator.com
You can put in whatever@mailinator.com for an email address anywhere then log onto mailinator with that name to pick up the email. Comes in really handy sometimes.

It'a pretty funny to put in random emails and just see what the subjects are
