The trailer for this game reminds of the concept for a D&D campaign world I've been kicking around in my head.

I thought healing was the coolest part of Guild Wars for some reason, I loved being a healer in that game

However I thought with low level caps and uninteresting items to loot made the game very tired very fast.

Yeah, the support classes were the most fun. I never got into playing a Paragon though, which is a shame because I really liked the idea of them.

I never bought any of the expansions to Guild Wars, but I still occasionally pop in the origional because it really wasn't a bad game at all.

I played this game for about a year straight, sometimes like 40-50 hours a week when it first came out.

I don't want to fall back into that abyss... but

it's hard to do bad at this game.
-There is no penalty for death
-Unless you can't color coordinate, skill picking is easy
-Attributes are easy to, you just figure out which attribute you have the most skills in on your bar, and put the most points into that.
-Weapons and armor: if you get to a new place that sells better armor than what you're currently wearing, it means you'll probably need it! If you need a new weapon just go kill the biggest things you can and you'll get a suitable weapon in no time.

If they go with certain races getting certain classes, they'll probably get the healer support roles.

    I don't think they'd do that

I think it would be like in addition to the secondary profession you also get a bonus from your species
lots more combinations would be nice

My favorite thing about Guild Wars has always been the promo material. Come to think of it that's been my favourite thing about any and all MMO/Hybrids that I've seen since they began to arrive on the scene.

I need to get back to finishing hard mode missions. I just hate the 'lol sins suck' thing people tend to flaunt. The problem is, every 13 year old on earth went, 'lol sins are awesome I'm gonna be a sin oh god I'm dying'

Then you have the 6 or 7 of use who actually know how to use a sin in PvE but it's been ruined by the idiots.

    Yes, exactly.
Day 1, Factions release: Swarms of Sins all with a name involving Naruto, truly a site to behold.

If you can get a decent build set up sins are great, I have a Moebius Strike build that I would tank with and it was awesome.

I have like 5 different builds that are ridiculous op (non perma) and generally out damage nukers with survivability on par with a tank warrior. But no one believes me. +40 armor +8hp regen with a 150dps aoe attack?

    Shit because you're a sin.

I actually stopped playing because after stomping my guild in a 1on1 kumite (20 participants) they wouldn't let me do some hard mode missions with them because 'sins suck pve'

lol wow I'm still kinda irked about that apparently.

so basically sins are like hunters in wow, really easy to play so all the terrible players go for them and then when they group up with others they have no fucking clue how to fight in a group?

They're actually not as easy as other classes, it's just that the lolNaruto fans play them because they want to be ninjas.
They're also not meant to rush head-on into battle, they're more of support DPS.

No, sins are like glass cannons with an awesome damage capability, balanced by their paper thin armor and low HP.

So all the idiots go, 'Awesome damage woo attack that mob, oh god I'm dying!'

instead of, 'Okay, I can kill that one, get out, heal, kill that one, get out, heal'

Instead of doing 20 damage a second, and out surviving all the mobs around you, you do 100 damage a second, and get fucked. So you have to kite and manage your health and energy with precision. Some skills have less than a 1/4 of a second window to recast, otherwise you lose your buffs and you die.

I really felt like rolling a Paragon earlier.
Then I remembered I'd have to do it in Nightfall.
    Where there are heroes.
And heroes are mandatory on a lot of the missions.
Then I didn't want to do it any more.
