My boss wants me to find a key stroke recording machine LOCK PLEASE
I don't know why everyone is so worried about this. The boss is talking about using a keystroke logger on his own personal equipment, at his own personal place of residence, to monitor what his children are doing when they get on the Internet. Would you all have this man force his children to sign a document declaring no right to privacy? Not only is this a smart thing to do, and being a good parent, but there are actually more laws that the father could potentially break by not performing due care in providing his children a safe and monitored means of accessing teh Intarwebs.
I mean, for fuck's sake people, we're on teh Intarwebs.
underdonk on
Back in the day, bucko, we just had an A and a B button... and we liked it.
If he runs a virus scanner, make sure to add it to the exception list. I downloaded a few of them for a friend to try out on his kids as well and his virus scanner freaked out and flagged all of the programs as keystroke loggers, which, they obviously were.

I recall a hardware solution that would probably solve this little problem. It's basically just a little dongle that sits in between the keyboard and the computer and grabs the keystrokes as they're sent to it. It's obviously not free though.

children have zero right to privacy.
Agreed. Which is why I have chosen to help him.
Looks like KGB free is perfect.
Lock this now.
Also one more thing. Someone should make a topic about this on D&D.

Could be worth a shot.

Edit: Beated! Well, sorta.
The one I was thinking of was similar to this. It's by these guys though. They also offer a USB version.
