Cheap CD player for my apartment?

So, I just moved into my apartment in NYC. Because I'm always moving my computer around and using it for work, I don't want to have my music setup be my laptop hooked up to larger speakers, I want a small CD deck I can just hook up to larger speakers. The problem is, all the CD decks I can find are for DJs and are really expensive because they have all these crazy features for DJs. I make electronic music with a friend of mine, but it's all done on the computer. I would pick up a CD deck with some cool stuff on it, but it's just not worth 200$ to me.

So, can anyone recommend to me how I should set all this up? What should I buy? I've been to a few stores but all they have are the 200$ CD decks I was talking about.

Buy a Discman and a set of decent computer speakers.

Otherwise you need to buy an Amp/Receiver AND the CD player component.

Go on craigslist and check out people selling stereos.

I got a nice TEAC reciever and a harman/kardon 5 disc CD changer for $70 a couple summers a go and it is a awesome system.

You should be able to find 90s era Denon or Yamaha components for mad cheap

I wouldn't buy a used changer. They tend to break down with far greater frequency than single discs.
