I have used Razor mice for years, and really liked them.

they have an annoying "us gamers" mentality, but the products are well made.

I dislike wireless mice because everyone i know who uses one always seems to have theirs run out of batteries at the most inopportune moments.

the neat thing about the razer mouse I use is that it has a sensitivity button right under the wheel. so for fps games I can crank it up or down on the fly, if I'm sniping or doing more reaction-based shooting.

My current Logitech something has that. It throws me way off if I up the sensitivity. I can only practice at one mouse speed at a time.

In the 30 seconds it takes you to switch from one Nano to the other, while I fish batteries out of that box full of 'em.

I was so sad when I thought my scroll wheel was messed up because it was being all sticky and weird

Yeah I use an MX revolution and it is amazing.

Less amazing since I dropped it and it landed directly on the hardwood floor, scroll-wheel first, but still mostly amazing.

I really need to get me a 360 because the Ps3 is shit from a butt for most multiplayer. Most of the people on forums have 360s, so they get multiplatform games for that. And for some reason, sony hates split-screen multiplayer.

One of the sites I read pointed out that the 30-inch Cinema Display is $1800, $100 more than the base 27-inch iMac. Which has an input DisplayPort, doubling it as a monitor.

Yes, it's an input/output DisplayPort. I wonder if this:

    http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10428&cs_id=1042802&p_id=5311&seq=1&format=2

is going to work in reverse with it. I don't really see the point of using an iMac as a Macbook display, but hooking up an HDMI device would be sweet.

    I've got a mac mini

it's not bad for a day to day machine but it is severely lacking in guts

also it doesn't have a video card

The only reason I would recommend it over a full imac is if you already have a really great monitor and don't ever want to run parallels for a windows virtual machine.

Yeah I was only considering it as a thing to sit on top of my REAL PC MACHINE TOWER and use when I'm not playing video games.

Well I've been in the market for a nice 24" or 27" monitor, and I'm going to need to eventually buy a new laptop/pc as I'll be needing something with a little more juice than my current laptop for some audio work and possibly some design work (though not too likely).

The new iMac appeals to me quite well right about now... I'll sit on it until around Christmas in any case.

I don't play many PC games, so lack of power doesn't really concern me. Depends how it stacks up price-wise next to a computer I build myself.

In reality though I have waaay too much stuff on my plate to ever actually get a mac of any kind. Wooooo credit card debt and wanting other things even though you really shouldn't buy them.

edit: Speaking of which, does terminating a cell phone contract early ding your credit at all or do you just have to pay the early termination fee? I'm thinking of dropping my pre because the termination fee will end up being way less than the money I will be spending over the next couple of years that I found out I can't afford.

Apparently it makes the Kindle look retarded.

Two awesome features: two-week lending period to pretty much ANY device of a friend, and you can go into a B&N and connect to their network I suppose and be able to pick a single book to read whole while you're there, just like going into a bookstore and sitting there reading a book.
