Looks like I have been missing out on DS Online games.
I just started playing my DS again as you can see from my previous threads. I haven't touched a wifi game since Mario Cart Online. I didn't really like it because to me it didn't feel like the N64 version. They edited Big Block Fortress and what not. Anyways, I know PS0 is coming out and I very excited about that but wanted to know what I have missed out on so far or what is coming out this xmass as far as wifi games on DS
I didn't even know one of the pokemon games had voice chat? Or they had an online RPG Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I really confused on the quality of the online play though. From my understanding a fair amount of the games lack servers that you join and find players but instead use a friend code.
So if you all could school me on how DS Wifi has advanced since mario cart online.

PS0 is well worth waiting for, as a diehard PSO fanatic, I "imported" it and have been playing it for quite a while now.
As far as other online enabled games, it really all depends on what kind you are willing to play.
I was thinking pokemon plat as I have not played a pokemon game since Pokemon Red/Flame watever it was. Now is pokemon plat online just Vs I assume? What about the in game voice chat how is that.
And Final Fantasy. Does the newest game still have a huge player base and how is it compared to the single player version? I assume they throw the story out while online?

It is online battle, trading, drawing, voice chat (which is decent, but tinny) and there is a new amusement park like thing where you go and play minigames for berries and watnot.

Both Final Fantasy Chronicles have a smaller playerbase now, just due to the ype dwindled down a bit. The gameplay online is the same as offline just 100 times laggier unless you are hosting. As far as storyline online and and offline, there is none, you can start an offline mission, get stuck, go back to the beginning and hop online for some help.

I am looking on friendcodes.com and most the games have no one in the hub.
