1 bottle of Captain Morgan White Rum
1 half bottle of Appleton Special Amber Rum
1 nearly full bottle of Appleton Estate V/X Amber Rum
1 completely unopened bottle of some random white whine I got back in April for my housewarming

6 bottles of Labatt 50 in mah fridge
3 bottles of MGD sitting beside that

    :(

    Don't you live in Edmonton?

Winnipeg actually, what are you getting at I wonder...? ;)

Call me whatever type of name you like, I refuse to appologize for enjoying Labatt 50, that stuff is delicious and I'd never choose any other beer for drinking while I bbq.

Oh, I wouldn't call you names. I just feel pity for you.

hahah well blame the crowd I used to work with. I was told way back when I was young and impressionable that it was a beer drinker's beer (the 50, not the MGD) and I've kindof stuck with it ever since.

    What's your suggestion?

    then we laugh at cows.

You see, one of these products is Bourbon.

    One of them is not.

Guess which one is the real stuff.

and guess who is not a liquor snob. i drink whiskey and i drink bourbon. i drink both without holding my pinky in the air. i do not scoff at folks who drink what they like, or just what's handy. the taste bud comment was entirely in jest, perhaps a smiley would have made this a little more apparent.

    okay, that is magical

i think I know what my 3rd will be

here's the question. what do I need to drink it in? (ie: something more substantial than a plastic cup.)

I'm currently sipping my way through a bottle of Knob Creek and loving it. I really want to pick this up next time but as a well seasoned drinker of shitty alcohol, it worries me.

Alternatively, a rocks glass with a splash of water and no ice cubes.

It's really a matter of personal preference at that point.

I tend to be more of an ice guy, myself.

Drop the cube(s) in a glass, pour enough of the whiskey to float the cube, swirl, enjoy.

My uncle is a stalwart bourbon drinker and takes his with a splash of water. It's said to help release some of the flavors and aroma.

Adding a splash of water in bourbon or whiskey is a very traditional thing.

The ice is probably more of the scandal inducing one.

I just picked up a bunch of highball, shot, and rocks glasses from Target for really, really cheap. The shot glasses are really good looking glass and they cost a dollar for 4.

On the topic of Bourbon. Should it be stored room temperature or is refrigerating ok? I usually just throw booze in the freezer, but then I used to buy cheap vodka or rum all the time which seemed fine for that treatment.
