First off, here's a poorly drawn diagram of my home network;

It's quite a strange setup, I know. But it works. Everything connected to the hub can get online and do what it wants.
The problem i'm having is with getting the DS online. My motherboard(an Asus P5N32 SLI Premium/WiFi-AP) has a wireless access point built into it, which i'm wanting to use for my DS and Wii when I get one, but I think i'm making a schoolboy error somewhere when i'm assigning IP addresses to the Adapter itself, as well as the settings on the DS, or perhaps it's to do with my firewall(i'm just running Windows Firewall).
I had the DS online via the access point about a week ago using Windows 'Set up a home or small office network' wizard, however this meant that I couldn't get my other computers or 360 online, which was a bit of a problem, so it definately is compatible with the DS.
Oh, when I try and connect the DS, i'm getting the 51200 error 'Able to connect to the access point but not the server'.
Edit - I just changed the access point IP addy to 192.168.1.1 and the DS to 192.168.1.2 and got a different error, 52200

I had a pretty rough time getting my DS to connect with my wifi, After much searching the problem for me was both an incorrect IP addy and a firewall conflict. Eventually I trashed all my settings and followed the suggestions for my router that I found on the net. It worked perfectly then, and still does.
Best of luck to you.
