So, Ive been thinking of switching over to TinyXP, which is this scaled way the fuck down version of xp sp2, which uses ~400mb of hard drive space for the install and runs off about 40 megs of ram. Ive read from some other forums that its pretty awesome, and it still runs all your games etc. I was just wondering if any of you have used it or know someone who uses it? I dont wanna go through the trouble of a reformat etc. for something that sucks.

I didn't even know what the fuck and avitar was until about 5 minutes ago.

ODBC support is missing which makes it an immediate "no" for me. To get XP down to this size you've gotta hack out a LOT of stuff. I'm guessing there are A LOT of helpful (if not almost required) services that are either just not running or that are entirely missing. I'd be interested to see what exactly this is missing, but I can't find a site for it and I don't think TPB is a reliable source of info.

Also, no one other than Microsoft or a reseller is allowed to distribute copies of Win XP. I'm guessing you found a torrent on TPB or something for this. Look into using your own copy of windows with nLite, it's what the rest of us that want to shrink XP do and it's totally legal and legit.
