I'm planning to build a computer for my friend, but I haven't built one since 2005. Could I get some help on this one guys?
Gaming computer:
Budget: $700
Will be gaming at 1680x1050 resolution.
Does not need: mouse, keyboard, monitor, and OS.
Stability and reliability is especially important since he isn't too tech-savvy (no need for overclocking solutions).
He is definitely planning to upgrade his machine over the course of the next 4-5 years.
I would like to buy everything through Newegg.
I read that the i5s are releasing on Sept. 6th, should I wait until after this?
Thanks all!

Yep. Top sticky'd thread. You want the Bang-for-your-buck machine. I built mine for about $750 a year ago, and it works fantastically.
