It takes up about 4.5 GB on my harddrive. Sucks for you that you have to deal with bandwidth limits.

I normally wouldn't buy it twice but it is tempting with the steam deal. I might grab it and download it piecemeal.

Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

To be honest, I've made the sudden and abrupt conclusion:

    Stop jumping.

Especially with Gouken. I need to just work on execution and being a stone wall that people are afraid to attack.

Then when they are confused/turtling, I keep them at bay with hadoukens and time my trip/EX grab from across the room.

I love Dan and all, but if I want to get real good and progress against experienced vets, I need a more well rounded character.

I got to the finals of 3 G2 Championships, losing every one. More Gouken is needed.

Alright I've officially got the PC version up and running. Although right now my 4 bar matches are running as bad or worse than the 2 bar ones from the 360. The last two I played actually lost connection. I know my computer can run the game fine, so I'm in the process of trying to figure out what's wrong.

If I get it fixed I'll probably be on later. My GFWL ID is the same as my 360 - ErrorMacro1. If anyone wants to eventually play, beat the crap out of me, make me cry, etc ... feel free to add me.

    EDIT:

Ha, I just noticed SF4 now shows up twice in my little sig thing. Awesome.

Just a heads up: Don't fight anyone lower than 3 bars.

It also usually helps to create a game, that way you have all the picky latency guys choosing games to compensate for your ping, so it ends up usually being a 4+ bar game.

It can be bad, but for the most part, just start games or join 3+ bar ones.

When you join a game, give it 2-3 seconds to load before hitting Start. This will give the bars time to adjust and show their true latency.

Regarding connections: I notice that I get slowmo games more on Player Matches than Championship. Also bars can be more deceiving in Player match. I've had 4 bar matches end up at one at the lobby after the bout is over.

I usually wait a few seconds before commencing the game and see which way the bar goes. If a 3 bar match goes down to 2 after waiting, I cancel. If it stays, or goes up to 4/5, I stay.

I've played your Dan, and he's good. The thing is, since not many people play Dan, his tricks aren't well known. I've gotten better against him, like what's punishable with what, etc. But I still play some that have random tactics I haven't seen yet.

Thanks for the comment. Your Abel is definitely improving, especially the switching of the moves.

That's what I like about Dan. If your enemy gets too defensive, you can do the jump over the head trick with blocking opponents, and start combos on them with the low kick overhead thingy.

If that doesn't work, you can FA into running away all day to trick them and jump taunt to dodge/antagonize people.

Dan is really great, but going from the mobility and versatility of Gouken to Dan is like blehhhhhhhh, especially fighting someone like Akuma or Dhalsim.

Gouken's more of a predict and punish type for me. With some nice tricks and resets. I've gotten knocked down, forced to block a charged hadoken on wakeup, which leaves me in blockstun just long enough for the followup demon flip throw to connect.

A good Gouken really yomi's you to the point that you just get frustrated and make dumb mistakes, which just gets you punished harder.

    YES.

The second sentence puts it perfectly.

This is the same feeling I get with an experienced Abel. Just get maimed until I get frustrated/confused and start making dumb, random moves.

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Ha, I caused a rage quit, and I could hear his moaning through his poor quality mic.

Games for Windows Live really sucks in the respect that you can't disable voice without disabling messages. I really hate people with a room mic that transmit all the time.
