Hello guys,
My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon, and we've got the bulk of it sorted. We're going on an Australia/New Zealand guided tour and then doing a 3 day stopover in Fiji on the way back.
Unfortunately we're getting married on the 17th of July and the tour doesn't start until the 21st. So we have 3 days where we want to find a place to just relax and wind down after what will possibly be a stressful time in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
The catch is that the guided tour can only start in select cities. Initially we wanted to do Hawaii for 3 days, as it's about halfway to Australia/New Zealand (we're in the Toronto/Niagara Falls area of Ontario), and it's got awesome resorts. However, the tour doesn't fly out from there. We'd have to fly back to Los Angeles and then start the tour.
So I'm looking for recommendations on resort-type areas on the West Coast of Canada/US that we can wind down for 3 days and then kick off a kickass tour.
We _are_ considering Vegas as it's a good ways West, but it's not really a resort-y type town from what I remember of my trip there 2 years ago.
Basic requirements:
1) Western Canada/US - May as well travel a bit West in order to cut down on travel time to Australia
2) Resort-type location/Hotels - We want to wind down
Added bonuses:
1) US Airways flies there (we have travel vouchers from them)
2) Marriott has a Hotel/Resort Hotel there (I have tons of Marriott Rewards points)
Looking forward to people's suggestions.

Ugh, I'm having a hard time thinking of places you can fly in and out of easily, the west coast is just so god-damned big.
*you'll probably just sleep the whole time
e: apologies, I live in SoCal.

Victoria, BC has a Marriott and an International Airport. The Marriott is right downtown. If you want a resort type location in the area there: http://www.brentwoodbaylodge.com/

Might just be living here on a tightened budget that's dulled me a bit to the area.
Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego being among them. That seems to jive well with the recommendations so far.
That looks amazing. And I mixed it up with a Marriott in the area initially, which is also very cool. Definitely running this by the wife-to-be.r
This. There's a Marriott in South Lake Tahoe that I stay at. Nice place.
It's on Vancouver Island, just up the West coast from Victoria, and it's fucking glorious.
Alternatively, you could just go to either Victoria or Vancouver. Both are awesome, but I just happen to enjoy Victoria more than Vancouver (perhaps because I'm from the mainland).
