I've been reading PA arcade for a while. One of the things that
attracted me to the comic was how the characters seemed to share
a mutual dislike of Gamestop. However, now I see they're working with
Gamestop for pre-order exclusive content.
I'm still a fan of PA, it just bothers me they'd do this.
To me it seems like they're kinda selling out. Am I wrong about this?
Maybe I just don't know all the information.
Maybe the proceeds are going to charity, and not in their pockets.
Can anyone fill me in on this?
Not that you guys seem to give a shit, but they asked us if they could use the CTS costume as a preorder bonus so we said "sure that sounds pretty sweet," and we were working with them on some other stuff anyway. We didn't get any money for it, nor did we know what retailers it would be used for.
But hey if selling out is like the new cool thing to do, you can call us sellouts.
not doing it as a free code to download as the incentive would have essentially put it in the same category as paid-for DLC... and we had no interest in going through that rigmarole.
Actually banjo-tooie or whatever is terrible as well. Pretty much the original is the only decent game.
The fuck are you getting your crack boy
Tooie, along with DK64, were exercises in tedious collect-a-thons and backtracking just because. They took the flaws of the first banjo and then made them worse.
While nuts-and-bolts isn't the most amazing thing ever it was an alright game when I played it, and most of the criticism seems to be from people who have a rose-tinted perception towards banjo-tooie.

I'm assuming the Preorder bonus is just a code to unlock the costume from the start, but if you don't get it from Gamestop you can unlock it in some other way later on, right?

I agree with Shoe.

Unless it's back to not being cool.
Then we're not sellouts.
At least.
If you take doug out of the movie it is outright mediocre.
Mostly because I would like to play as CTS but will not pre-order the game.
I feel sorry for people who don't have you on facebook right now.

Selling out is the hippie way of saying not doing what I want.
