a kid came over and told me that everyone was saying I was a queer
I was like "then coming over here probably isn't doing you any favors"
he kicked me in the ribs and we got in a fight, suspended for two days
the rule was that anyone in a fight got in trouble
that was a pretty sick burn though, skull man

I had no friends, teachers hated me, no idea how to behave or dress
I was a vegetarian since age seven and made a 1200 on my SATs in seventh grade
I was viewed as something that you might get cancer by standing around
seriously, I was so, so nice before middle school
I spent high school as this hugely combative, suddenly very tall and moderately attractive asshole because I expected everyone to come at me with cruelty
deprogramming myself since high school has been tough but I think I'm finally back to that basically nice ten year old
the closest thing to bullied i ever experienced was when i was in high school and my sexual orientation became public knowledge and some dudes began starting shit with me and calling me a faggot, etc.
but even then, i didn't feel bullied, per se
i only ever was physically assaulted over it a couple times and people generally didn't talk shit to my face for fear of reprisal.
i was generally well-liked and respected
and the people who didn't like or respect me were mostly afraid of me
when you accidentally went into their sewing class
while looking for the gym

we were forced to take the sewing class
middle school students got divided into two "houses". the other house got to take a cooking class, we had sewing
I made a plaid star, some boxers, and a tiny pillow
oh hey a giant redneck senior who was in freshman science kept tormenting me in ninth grade the first couple weeks
one day he had these scissors and he kept jabbing them at me like he was going to cut my hair
the teacher, a relative of his, is just yuking it up until I stabbed him in the arm with a pencil
the lead broke off and he had to go to the doctor, best part? the teacher took him herself at lunch and didn't tell anyone because she was afraid she'd get fired for encouraging him to fuck with me
unsurprisingly, she ended up getting fired eventually for giving kids the answers during the finals to hide the fact that she hadn't taught anything all year
some dude comes up to me and is like "i heard you're a faggot"
i shrug and say "i guess so"
"i heard you suck dick!"
"i've been known to suck a dick or two, yes."
this only made him angrier and he ended up shouting "fuck you, faggot!" and he threw a chair at me and then took a run at me
and he was some pissant ninth grader and i beat the living shit out of him in front of a bunch of people
i got suspended for a day, but then the suspension was lifted when it was learned why he attacked me (the school had this thing about appearing homophobic or racist)
he got suspended for a week
and had to deal with the humiliation of being beaten up by a faggot
Out of school suspension is bullshit (and also like a vacation) when you stab someone in self defense. The fact that I stabbed him multiple times probably didn't help my case though.
People won't bully you if you can kick the shit out of them or at least put up a good fight. I will teach my children this.

in england we had the little cliquey gangs that you get in schools
but these were different
because every week or so we'd have a fucking rumble
it wasn't like real fighting but it was like semi-serious roughhousing, people got bloodied up, loose teeth fell out, faces in mud, punches were thrown but kids can't punch so psh
I mean we cared about our gangs but it's not like grudges were carried over anywhere else, it all stayed on the tarmac
but never anything real serious like. no broken bones etc
but seriously so fun
people would get pushed over, tripped etc, then grabbed and literally THROWN down the hills in the playground

he runs full speed into my shoulder, hits my shouler and doubles over, losing his wind
and then I snap up, launching him

he lands fucking dead on his back a few feet away. some guy off to the side screams "HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT"

so they changed their minds about it
