now for shady dealings (great thing to discuss with a Dev watching hte thread ) I'm debating grabbing a best buy preorder and a gamestop pre order, using their codes for the items, but not buying the game. Then buying hte game at wal-mart to get those items.
not sure if the preorder codes give the goods, or if it will be a seperate attachement when you buy the game.
all the descriptions say preorders give [x] but picking up and buying the game gives [y]
but but! gamestop says "[...] customers who preorder will receive [...] Level One Flight. When they purchase the retail copy, customers will receive [...]"
so maybe i can get flight and some another store's goodies this way

Reading about how the Gamestop pre-order is so good, this only makes me more irritated at Gamestop as a whole.
I'm ninety nine percent sure that they just never bothered to ship the store I pre-ordered from the codes for their customers. Either that, or the employee's gave the codes away to their friends. Most likely the latter, given my past experiences with that Gamestop.
Is it possible to use the micro-transactions to get goodies like the flight device ingame, or is that just for character slots and costume related items?
On a side-note, has anyone even gotten their Gamestop pre-order codes yet? I'm holding onto the vague hope that the codes just haven't been shipped out in most areas yet.

I didn't get to play today, but with all the issues I guess it's for the better. Hopefully they use from now till Sunday to fix all the problems for a smoother Open Beta. I can't wait to be able to play whenever I want.

Anyone get a preorder code from Amazon yet? Thats where I went with mine, waiting for it to come in, then intend on canceling it and preordering elsewhere or just grabbing it on Steam when its available.
Also, I have my character plan coming along for Open Beta. Made a costume today that I will have to remake on Monday, if it all goes well I may remake the character at launch as well. Clockwork Carl, a steampunk inspired synthetic humanoid type deal that I will go Gadgeteering/Munitions on, with Regeneration from Supernatural as it doesn't scale with any Superstat so I am free to pick whatever I Want.
Clockwork Carl is now up on Rate my Champion. I think I will take off the Steampunk backpack bulky thing that looks out of place on anything that is standing upright when I remake them on Monday.

I need to make sure my funds are in order at the right time.
Also, what if best buy doesnt get the game in before the 1st? Is the Beta client gonna be sufficient to give me the headstart?

I think it's okay for me to say that there was something about Rank 3 Flying disc effects in the patch notes, so I'd assume that it's possible.
If not, I'm sure Akinos will be quick to say that it is on the post-launch to do list.
