When LaCabra is bragging about his 10 copies of L4D 2 we know where the money came from.
By DLC you mean Crash Course, right? Or did they announce more?
its on the valve twitter "#L4DCrashCourse comes out on thursday! Lets make this a trending topic and spread the news!"
A friend of mine just told me that the steam forums are claiming that that announcement was a hoax?!? Since I can't read the steam forums from work, can anyone confirm this? Is the claim that the announcement was a hoax the actual hoax??? I must know.

cross-posting this to hopefully get more responses
Bought L4D last night. Would love to play it but every time I join a game my ping skyrockets to 1500+. I played TF2 regularly and I have never once had connection problems. If it matters I am on a 20Mb comcast business connection. I can play other online games with no problems. I have been kicked from every L4D game I have tried to play thus far.
If I can't figure out how to play the game at all is there anyway Steam can give me my money back?

There's definitely a fat joke in there somewhere, but I'll just post this picture again.
An interesting idea, I love 28 Days later (my favorite Zed film) and it has a beautiful soundtrack. Unfortunately, after watching that video, a lot of them don't seem (in my opinion) to work that well. I think the credits song works alright, but I wish they had used In the House-In a Heartbeat (the famous finale song from the movie) in a more prominent spot than the rescue vehicle, in which you're only likely to hear a few seconds of it. It's a wonderful long buildup in the full song. The witch on fire music is an especially odd choice.
Edit: For novelty sake, downloading it now to give it a try...
Just played through a whole campaign with the 28 Days Later sound mod (Death Toll for the record). Its not bad, better in game than it is in that video. Luckily, in action, there aren't really any jarring or out of place song choices. Unfortunately, as noted, most music in L4D is short, and this mod doesn't replace all of it, so you'll only hear the custom music occasionally. For example, you'll hear the campaign song in the saferoom, but only until you step outside, than its gone for the rest of the level. It will be the last time you hear any custom music until either a witch arrives, a tank arrives, you die, or close the end saferoom door. No atmospheric music is used.
The best ones were, in my opinion, the music played when you close the saferoom door, and the finale/credits music choices. The witch music isn't bad, the tank music is underwhelming for the action in game.
Completely worth downloading just to play a finale escape with In The House- In a Heartbeat playing (short though the section may be). It's really awesome, and the credits music fits nicely.

The victory music from Danger! 50,000 Volts is awesome
Oh man... I don't wanna nerd out here.. bt I have to
The infected in 28 days/weeks aren't really zombies. They don't die and then re-animate. I'm just sayin..
The "infected" in L4D don't either, but I don't know of anyone who would argue it isn't a zombie game. You're kind of missing the point/argueing over semantics if you try to say 28DL isn't a zombie film.
What zombie rules apply? Only reanimating? Only those caused by the supernatural? Only ones that eat brains? Only those that can/can't talk? What nerd rules do you subscribe to?

Since were on the internets, I can't tell if this is an angry post... seems like it is.
I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, just pointing out that those infected in those movies aren't zombies.
I also did not know that the infected in l4d were not re-animated corpses, learn something new every day

I'm totally stoked for the campaign, though.
So close to reporting for awesome. If this wasn't entirely dependent on the context, it would be there.

But since you asked, I use jZip.
Some of the songs are kinda quiet, probably will get drowned out in the noise, but During those quiet moments they'll really stand out.
I gotta buy 28 Weeks Later sooner or... later.

So it's perfect for Left 4 Dead! They aren't really zombies either.
