I think we've reached the point where major studios can easily put out a good-looking animated movie, so I guess I shouldn't be so surprised that A Christmas Carol looks nice, but there it is. Some 3-D animation is all about bright colors and clear, smooth shapes, so I think it's more impressive when a movie pulls off dim firelight like that.
Also I am the Jew who likes A Christmas Carol the most, so I am 100% for an adaptation of it that isn't "A Very Flintstones Christmas Carol"
The Flintstones Christmas Carol is great

Also the new Disney Christmas Carol looks like it's back in the Uncanny Valley that derailed The Polar Express.
I have nothing against A Christmas Carol but it's become one of the most retold stories in Western culture and it's pretty much saturated that whole market and... I just can't get interested in new versions any more
Saw this earlier today. Pretty good, though its no pixar movie. some of the action was really great stuff. loved how all the characters moved and there were some really scary, tense moments all through the movie. stupid humans, alwasy gettin taken over by robots
I too, thought the ending would be
hey, lets let the big robot suck up our soul and we'll turn the big robot good and hooray everyone's alive again
glad it wasn't though.
also, it felt really short. but yeah, i'd give it a watch again.
you could really tell this is basically the plot of the short film but with exposition
and i believe the end implies
that the rain is coming back to the earth as a catalyst for life
as the world is desolate and the only things living there are animated inanimate objects
i mean, if you were going to go out of your way to try to create life after the end of everything one woulda assumed automating some sort of noah's arc shit with embryos or something
but it ain't that. so earth is possibly coming back from square one?

That snake robot, using 2's dead body to hypnotise the others while it attacked them, is some serious nightmare fuel.
Yeah so I saw this and I dunno what the hell is up with some of the textures in that movie.
Having the material become more dense in certain areas doesn't make any sense when it comes to a little sackrobot with skin made from a single material. If it did change in density anywhere there would be a visible seam and wharlglglkg it just bothered me.
The character designs were awesome and the story was incredibly bland.

And I saw the preview for A Christmas Carol. Not sure. Maybe?
it was an excellent concept, mediocre execution

GoFund The Portland Trans Pride March, or Show It To People, or Else!

I wonder if the movie's short run time is because they cut out a bunch at the beginning.
The best part about Henson outtakes is how they stay in character.

The animation was by far the best part of it.
hey satan...: thinkgeek amazon My post |
not much else to say, really
I think so, yes
all in all I can't say I liked this movie. The story was kind of dumb and even the animation and visuals had faults so
eh disappointing
so yeah I mean it looked decent, but close inspection reveals some issues
