Pretty much our only hope was to prevent Cavil from hitting his win condition, then get extraordinarily lucky on die rolls. I doubt we succeeded, but it's worth a shot. If Cavil activates heavy raiders, we're fucked. If he doesn't, we're still almost certainly fucked.

Turn 35: Admiral-President Lee "Apollo" Adama (Varcayn)

    Attack Roll 1: 5, Miss.
    Attack Roll 2: 5, Miss.

Lee Adama and Gaius Baltar attempt to stop the Centurion advance without any success. Galactica's fate is looking more grim by the moment, and the boarders are pushing up against the last of the battlestar's defenses.

    Pass: No effect.
    6+: -1 Morale.
Fail: -1 Morale. Current player Lee "Apollo" Adama (Varcayn) chooses a character and moves him to "Sickbay".

    I believe that's a "humans win" condition.

If he needs three resources in the red, he's got it. If he needs morale in the red, he's got it.

1 - 2 = -1, Fail: -1 Morale. Varcayn chooses to send himself to Sickbay.

Centurions begin to break through the human defenses, and Varcayn is injured in the process. People are losing hope as the end looks to be near.

After Crisis: Activate Heavy Raiders, Advance Jump Preparation
Centurions advance to the 4th step of the Boarding Track - one more activation for Cylon Victory.

Movement Step: Remain in Cylon Fleet.
    Action Step: Activate Heavy Raiders.
Cylons advance to the last step of the Boarding Track.

With the defense lines broken, Cain leads the final charge into Galactica, taking it over completely. The remainder of the fleet is powerless to resist and succumbs to the Cylons' might.

Cylon Victory has been achieved on Turn 36 via Centurion Boarding Party!

DevoutlyApathetic reveals his secret agenda: Show Their True Nature - The Cylons have won AND Either you are in the “Brig” or “Detention”, or you have been executed at least once.

Yeah, the humans got kind of hosed after the second jump. Luck just kind of works that way sometimes - and in Battlestar Galactica, if you have a good first half, you're probably in for a doozy for the second half. Anyways, thanks for playing, guys. I might run another game soon, might be BSG, might be something else.

The second card in the Destination Deck was the following: A Civilian Convoy - Distance +3
Lose 3 Fuel and gain 1 Population. The Admiral may choose to lose 1 Morale to gain 1 Fuel.

Varcayn would have had to spent Morale for Fuel, but they would have made it to New Caprica if they jumped early. Of course, they also would have had four Centurions waiting for them on the Boarding Track for when Galactica returned to orbit.

On a side note, I was really, really hoping that DevoutlyApathetic and the other Cylons would try blowing up Galactica. Mmm, explosions.

I also had the gain 1 Fuel for discarding 2 skill cards and drawing 2 treachery cards Quorum Card, so fuel could've been dealt with in a couple ways, but it was over once those centurions boarded.

From my experience the humans just hemorrhage morale on New Caprica anyway, so it doesn't bode well for them regardless. :P

Thanks for the game Mr B, it was quite fun even if the last half got a little silly because of the crisis deck.

I've been putting forth quite of bit of effort to not be going on and on about my win condition, especially when posts like this:

Which Cylon agenda card conditions does Cavil likely have?

Our best bet is to try to fuck up his win condition out of spite.

are being made. It's like some kind of meta-victory condition fulfillment!
