I must say that was a very anticlimactic ending, just "Oh I was here" and Lara is like "ERGO! It's in Croft Manor". Yeah, class A writing right there guys:?
EDIT: Also, in response to the whole Dedicated servers debate (though you've probably seen this already)

Hey, hard drives are pretty cheap y'know...
Silence wench, I deleted Mirror's Edge to make room! T_T
I technically have crap loads of space (I only have maybe 20 gigs of music and there shouldn't be much else on my hard drive - only 2-3 games installed) - but for some reason of the 250 gigs I have only 30 are free. So confusing.

There are around 150gb of PvP videos and you know it. I suspect you also have every single installation file you ever downloading still on that PC.

You might want to defrag your hard drive then. I can't think of anything else that could be taking up that much room.
So was that cutscene after the moving the giant rock platform indicating that the 'gauntlet' she has only had enough charge to just conveniently last long enough to get past that puzzle?

Yep. Said gauntlet is now effectively a paperweight until she can charge it up again... though I can't actually remember whether you actually have to do that or not. I think you do.
Anyway, the artifact containing precisely the right amount of power to let Lara escape is a minor 'oh really' moment compared to some of the stuff that's coming up.

Great stuff! I loved legend and played the demo of this but wasn't very inspired by the combat. Thinking of picking this up after seeing your LP though.
I also heartily enjoy the discourse that accompanies each set
So surrealitycheck, do you moonlight as a tomb raider yourself? Or is that just some superior English education shining through? Cause you're either really enthusiastic about history and grammar and knowledge and it just comes across naturally in your videos, or you're a pretentious ass who is an ass.

I'm not sure if I should agree with you or tell you to gtfo.

I'll take pretentious for ten, Mark.
I've bolded the real secret answer.

I'm actually on hiatus with this at the moment, thanks to dragon age origins and the toolset hogging my disk space
I plan on continuing as soon as that has died down... so probably a week or so!
I'm probably going to try a blind let's play of prince of persia sands of time next. Should be done much faster than this one :P
Don't bet on it. Sands of Time is a pretty lengthy game as I recall. I don't know whether you'll do it too much faster than this one, especially on a blind run. Still, whether you do or don't doesn't matter. Sands of Time is an awesome game and I'll certainly be there to watch you try.

Well, I was thinking more regular updates! I've been a little, uhh, fragmentary on the preceding 2.

Ah, right. I getcha.
Well, I came in pretty much at the end of your TR: Legend LP so I have no idea how fragmentary the nature of updating was on that one and as for this one, until Dragon Age came along and stole your attention - a state of affairs which is quite understandable by the way - it was going along at what I'd consider a reasonable pace.
Still, regular updates are always nice, so... :^:

External hard drive arrived today. new set on its way

BUNNIES HAPPY
I don't know about the bunnies being happy, but I certainly am. I do like watching LP's and far too many of them have been on hiatus as of late - although with Dragon Age: Origins and Modern Warfare 2 still all shiny and new I don't suppose I should be surprised. :P
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that a new set is on the way. I'll be looking forward to it.
You weren't kidding when you said it was quiet. Even jamming my headphone into my ears I could barely hear you. Hopefully you can sort that out for the next set.
Can I just say that I hate you for the ease with which you dealt with the thralls. I remember having a lot more trouble with them than you did. I don't remember whether they managed to kill me, but I do remember that I hate them.
Also, I'd kind of forgotten that Alister's death was so abrupt. He enters, there's a bang and - after the obligatory few last words - he's gone. It's kind of an ignoble end when all is said and done. I know that it was done to give Lara a desire for revenge and to showcase that the baddies are even more evil than ever before, but I'd have liked to have seen him go out a little more heroically.
Anyway, an enjoyable set - what parts of it I could hear at least :P. Looking forward to the next one.
That end cutscene really was quite good, and it just really reinforces the "Lara is psycho and blood-thirsty" thing again, as the games do at seemingly every turn.

Ah, so it's Dragon Age: Origins is it? Damn, I had a fiver on it being Modern Warfare 2. Oh well.
Anyway, glad to hear that this hasn't been forgotten. I was begining to worry.
Edit: I like the new sig.
I was actually playing along side you surrealitycheck, but got sidetracked about the same time when The Witcher went on sale on Steam :winky:
I'm glad to see this is still going as well. Not all LPs get finished, after all.

I'd definitely support a Sands of Time LP from you, as I am a filthy heretic and couldn't enjoy the game myself.
