I'm looking for a girl who was at PAX05 with the handle Star Tears or something like that (on the RvB boards at least). We met at the RvB desk, and talked for awhile, but before I could ask her name or chat her up, my friends pulled me away, and I didn't get a chance all weekend to find her again. I almost forgot about the whole thing, until I found a cute picture of her from the concert one of the nights. Maybe somebody knows her or maybe she herself could send me a PM? I know this sounds a bit craigslist missed connections...

    I agree w/everyone who says that virtually all the girls there have boyfriends; I just can't see how it could be any other way.

    In the crowd of 9,000 PAX attendees, with roughly 1/3 being female from my perspective, factor out all the ones who are taken, or otherwise inelligible, and you're left with 26 reasonably attractive female gamers.
    I met 3, I think, could have been more, but they usually don't admit they're free for fear of over-geekage.

    There is no way in hell that 1/3 of the attendees was female. Sure, it was more than last year, but a far cry from 3,000 people.

    I'd say about... hmm, 1/8 or a little more of the PAX population was female. It was really refreshing, seeing so many when I... really didn't expect it.

    There were a lot more girls this year than last year. Last year I saw maybe 9 girls on the Sunday that I attended. This year everywhere I looked there were girls. I wasn't expecting that.

    There were about nine TOTAL last year. It also made it really funny because it was so specific, you could say "I went to PAX" and the reply would be, "Oh yeah? Which one were you?"

    That's funny, because I'm in the PAX04 DVD. So I can say that I'm the girl with the short brown hair in the white shirt. If you go to Consoles on the Events DVD, I'm in the second shot, very center of the screen standing with a boy.

    I was at PAX and I don't have a boyfriend.... and I'm not 15.... does that make me automatically unattractive?

    I think there was maybe 100 or 200 girls in total this year. Far more than last year though.
