    it seems to me that metal guys hate on early metallica undeservedly, and more because of what is associated with the name metallica rather than because it's really bad. kind of like how a lot of people are about led zeppelin or the grateful dead. but then again I am far from a metal connoisseur.

    No, most metal guys defend early Metallica undeservedly, because they really only had like 5 good songs, and not enough to support Lars' frequent shit-talking about the people that buy his albums.

    I was just looking at your last.fm Koshian, and it really reminds me of how ridiculously diverse musical taste is. Even though I have "high" compatibility with you I haven't listened to a single of your top tracks from the last 6 months. Furthermore, every time I bring up my "neighbors", they aren't anywhere close to me in terms of musical taste. You'd think with the number of users (over 15 million IIRC) there would be somebody with more similar tastes.

    Brad and some other guy from Deerhunter came to my old singer's apartment, did coke in his bathroom, then one of them sat down on the couch with a beer, immediately blacked out, and spilled it all over himself.
