Rane, you can get wild hogs from friendly folks in Florida much faster than I could get one to you from Texas!

Fact: feral hogs are a pest and invading the country.

As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the "tea party" movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.

"I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you," she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama's "hard-left agenda."
She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court.

In January, Virginia Thomas created Liberty Central Inc., a nonprofit lobbying group whose website will organize activism around a set of conservative "core principles," she said.

It's not really the Glenn Becks of the world we have to worry about, is it?

It's the quiet, polite, hard workers beavering away behind the scenes to fuck things up in the most profound way possible.

Since when has anyone had that? Did I miss a memo?

As it turns out, most people badgering away by themselves don't get much done in the grand scale.

It also is true that 11% of Americans polled who sympathize with the Tea Party movement does not represent the angry majority they claim.

Angry entitled minorities often confuse the concept of majority with "whoever screams the loudest".

It is pretty fucked for the wife of a supreme court judge to be the head of a lobbying group, though.

I mean, even if he would normally swing that way anyway, it just looks bad.

I would assume that if anyone in the world would have zero influence on Clarence Thomas, it would be his wife.

I saw one like that once awhile back in one of the science threads, only it was much older (like from the late 70's or early 80's or something) and in English, and narrated. Also, it started from the person and zoomed out, then all the way back and inside the person. It also didn't go past the atom. This one looks a lot nicer though, on account of being new and all.

What you do is you mute the sound and start playing this instead

Should just about take you up to the halfway mark. Then you play it again.

That's not "every US president," that's every president since WWII. Which, I can see the arguments, especially considering that his starting point is that Nuremberg/Tokyo trials were poorly conducted.

So, yes, it was kind of hyperbolic.
