Red's out partying. I may show up a bit early tomorrow, anyone else feel up to arriving around 10 or so? Need some sporting gear or some such thing to kill some time.

I will try to be there by 10, maybe 9 if I can manage to wake up early enough. And I got some Mt. Dew (case of each of the three new flavors) that I'll bring.
mandfnfkgmmmmnnndhhgnnnnkkkkk why is it morning already. Stickers, Twinkie??? Now I feel like I should bring coloring books or something! I'll bring games!
We'll be there as soon as I can get myself some coffee and get the hell up.
I'll probably show up around 12:30ish with a mtg deck and some sort of munchies.

So I was gonna get in early, but my dad is not having a good day, so I'm probably not going to make it. Have an awesome time and take lots of sexy pics, though!

Derp, I finally got around to checking my calendar for the 18-20 weekend and I have to withdraw my tentative 'going to LAN' response, looks like I won't be able to make it after all.
EDIT: BBQ was real fun!

Details:
Start time: ~1:00 PM, Saturday the THIRD of July
End time: Whenever you want to leave, Sunday, FOURTH of July.
Where: Classy unincorporated Tacoma.
What: Party! Camping! Bonfire! Booze! No fireworks
Last year was pretty epic, and hopefully it will be just as awesome this year. Yes, it is true, fireworks last year caused too much of a problem and won't be allowed. Sparklers are ok. BUT, I figure that since this party will be on the THIRD, then those of you who want to blow things up can do it somewhere else on the real day. Sorry, I know it sucks, bitch all you want, but there's nothing I can do.
I hope to have a keg again this year, and if we do, it'll be pay-by-the-pint instead of a flat fee, because last year we got pretty fucked over by people who didn't pay.
It'll also be potluck-style, so everyone will have to bring food/booze! We also spent a hell of a lot of money last year on last-minute supplies and extra food, so please make sure if you're bringing X number of people, you'll at least have enough for each of you (each person should bring something), then there should be enough to go around.
This party has been le-cancelled. We'll save it for another weekend when it'll be just a bonfire party!
Does the 21+ apply for the EXTREMELY under 21? Like Turn1p or the twins?
Nope! As far as I'm concerned, babbies are welcome as long as they are supervised (or unable to walk yet). As long as they stay away from the booze and fire! And... drunk people! :P

Granted, I spent a large amount of daylight hours drunk off my ass, but I don't recall the problems with the fireworks - save your neighbors fireworks being louder than ours and going for a longer time past midnight. What happened?

I think her parents had a problem with the proximity of fireworks to high tension power lines. There were still plenty of fireworks leftover, as I recall, because they were cut off early.

For anybody planning on playing Blur at Big Red's LAN and hasn't tried LAN play yet: There are very common connection issues with it. Why, I don't know, but hopefully I can save us some trouble if some of us are prepared before hand.
Download a program called Tunngle. Apparently it's a LAN emulator. We've been trying to play Blur at my LAN right now, and only a few people are able to connect to each other normally, everybody else just can't. This Tunngle program apparently works fine for this, but we haven't tested it yet.
Just an FYI anyway.
We played Split/Second for hours, worked perfectly and was ridiculously fun. Whoever has it though, please unlock what you can. Because on LAN games, you can only use what vehicles you've unlocked.
Nomad: Don't think I'll be able to make it this time around, but we'll see.

Let's see, from my relatively sober memory (looking forward to not having that problem this time around, BTW):
* Crazy spinner firework that took off and then flew down the hill towards areas i hadn't watered extensively.
* Fireworks that BR tried to launch in 2-3's, and didn't have the launch tubes secured, so one detonated right over the house and over a field next to another house.
* Super-dry conditions in a field just up the hill that we couldn't deal with.
* Neighbour who originally claimed that there wasn't a problem with fireworks, came by and bitched that his dog had just had surgery, and he was worried about him (but didn't mention that the first time around at all, just randomly decided to be a douche about it, nevermind that the fireworks down at the highschool were as loud as ours)
* Neighbour who came by and hassled BigRed randomly.

The powerlines weren't that big of an issue compared to the list above.

What kinda bullshit is that? We disabled firewalls, antivirus, and even stopped services and there were still random people that couldn't connect. I hope they can patch that some time...

Looks like this may turn into 28 man tech support.

I'm planning on attending the 3rd of July party again, assuming I'm not working. Last year was pretty awesome. Sorry Moe won't be here, though

And yes, Brian4120, that would do. Hell, I'll take a head of lettuce with dressing.
Might as well. It's not like your kids will be scrambling after those anyway.
Perhaps I will bring my camcorder as well.
Holy Shit!
I am here, tables are secure.
I am running on 4h of sleep.
Someone bring me redbull, stat.

I'm bringing my copy of Zombie Fluxx, as well as the Planechase pack I bought recently, for the MTG-inclined out there.
edit - And alcoholic watermelons (I also cut up an extra non-vodka melon so kids can have some too).
Good times imo
Now im going to go take a nap before I mow my lawn
Good times indeed. Endless cheese flame FTW.
EDIT: I uploaded the few pictures I took. Others should post links too.
EDIT: BBQ was real fun!
When is next one what? BBQ? Lan?
Any. All. Yes.
Please don't tell me it's in the OP. Then I'll feel like an ass.
Not quite the OP. First find the OP. Then look down 1 post.

Thanks. Man, I really need to read this forum more.
Hopefully I will get my GTX470 by monday (like i accidentally pressed 2day shipping for)
...and finish the RFID computer switch I'm working on. It will be nice for the geek cred.

Blur uses a peer to peer netcode, *EVERYONE* has to have their firewalls completely turned off or else everyone will have connection issues.
Once we all killed firewalls it worked flawlessly
