That is such a cool upgrade.

It usually doesn't work this well; helps that all of my figures this round started either off the board or in ruined regions.
Summon a cultist from Estalia the tilean soon to be bloodbath

    That is one brave* seductress.

I really don't understand what Slaanesh and Tzeentch have been doing this entire round, honestly. Slaanesh will make no appreciable gains toward 50 VP, having spread out his cultists (Tilea? Really? Why?). Tzeentch... I have no idea what you're doing.

You two really shouldn't have flocked to Estalia with cultists, you should have gone there with dice-rollers.

I have two dice in each of Bretonnia and The Border Princes... I need either of those locations to give me 3 hits otherwise Nurgle carries the day. And not undeservedly, I might add.

Any effort to flood an area with corruption would have given nurgle a ruination bonus. There is a slight slight chance I can tick twice this round, and then deal with things from there. Bad hand + bad position = not being able to intercept anyone. If I'm going out, its in a blaze of sex and depravity.

Yeah, one of my goals this round was to make sure Khorne is the only one who could double-tick. That way, only a VP victory is possible (again) next round.
And I did consider going for the ruination victory in Kislev, but decided this was a higher-probability option.

Honestly? I'm not sure how best to play Tzeentch. And I can count on less than one hand the number of times I've seen Horrors on the board, so I never really considered them as a useful play for Tzeentch. I thought I was doing alright putting my most valuable assets on the board, trying to make him go for investing heavily to dominate, but his delay strategy was quite useful, and I was out of useful 0-cost cards more or less. If Nurgle doesn't win this round, I may be able to ruin Kislev and possibly one other place next round, with me in first, but who knows?

Kislev! (4d6.hitsopen(4,6)=3) Three hits in Kislev; kill two Acolytes and the Leper.

Bretonnia! (2d6.hitsopen(4,6)=1) 1 hit in Bretonnia; kill a Plaguebearer.

Nurgle only has one target in Bretonnia (and the Border Princes), so I'm going to go ahead and roll on.

Tilea, round 1 (4d6.hitsopen(4,6)=4) 4 Hits in Tilea round 1, that would have been such a sweet roll in Bretonnia. Kill two Seductresses.

Tilea, round 2 (4d6.hitsopen(4,6)=3) 3 Hits in Tilea, round two; kill the last Seductress.

Border Princes (2d6.hitsopen(4,6)=1) 1 Hit in Border Princes; kill a Plaguebearer. GG Nurgle! :P

Badlands Blood Frenzy (2d6.hitsopen(4,6)=1) 1 Hit from the Frenzy; stick it on a Seductress.

Badlands Round 1 (2d6.hitsopen(4,6)=2) 2 Hits in round 1; finish off a Seductress.

Nurgle to make his rolls for fun in Bretonnia and Border Princes; Slaanesh to roll his two dice for us to see if there's a 2nd battle at all in the Badlands.

I don't feel so bad about this game as I did my last time playing Khorne.

Edit: I still probably won't choose to play him again, though. I'd much rather play proactively with any other god than play reactively with Khorne.

    Round 5, End phase

Board at the start of the end phase:

    citowmapgame19round58.gif

    1. Remove Chaos Cards from the Board - No special effects

    2. Hero Tokens are resolved - Heroes kill a Leper and an Acolyte in Troll Country and a Leper in The Empire

    3. Resolve Old World cards - Witch Hunters: Removes one Nurgle corruption token in Troll Country. The Grail is Found: Removes all corruption tokens in Bretonnia and The Border Princes.

    4. Score Ruined Regions - No ruination this round.

    5. Advance Threat Dials - Khorne have five tokens and is the only one with any, so he dials twice.
    Khorne:
    23 - Upgrade
    28 - Upgrade

    Updated VP:
    Khorne: 12
    Nurgle: 50
    Tzeentch: 32
    Slaanesh: 30

    6. Check for Game end - Nurgle have achieved 50 VP and wins the game.

    Things that need to happen:
    1. Nurgle brag and demean you all.
    2. Khorne, Tzeentch and Slaanesh to make excuses.

    Hope you all had fun.

#1 mistake was playing Blood Frenzy to Bretonnia instead of Estalia, #2 mistake was not remembering about Influenza! D:

Nought, you did a great job there. Thanks for running this!

Good game for all of us. Strategically, the biggest oddity was everyone running in to help me ruin Estalia a couple rounds back. If Khorne had done that blood frenzy in Bretonnia this last round, I'd have ended up just dumping all my lepers into Kislev and hoping for the best. Stick five more lepers in there, and it should have ruined for the final points I needed.

I think I am finally getting the hang of playing Nurgle; all the gods are fun for me, though Tzeentch is probably still my favorite.

I'm not sure what I really could have done differently to win. I suppose not rushing to Estalia, but I miscalculated and thought that I could get at least 2nd place ruination points there. Putting everyone in Empire to ruin it worked, especially given the next event, but it meant that I was very slow reacting to elsewhere since everything was concentrated in Empire.
