I thought Wayne was pretty terrible in No Love...Em totally outclassed him in a major way there. Not a Wayne hater or anything, I just thought it was a really lazy verse.
I am loving the new Eminem album. His best since Eminem Show for sure.
I'm loving it as well. Especially how he admits his last two albums were pretty shitty. This latest cd just seems to have a perfect mix of real emotion and Eminem just spitting shit. Amazing lyrics.
Andre's verses on Royal Flush and Looking For Ya were incredible, I want a new Outkast album so badly
Daddy Fat Sax reminds me of old school Outkast.
Sigh..

Wikipedia says Outkast has something brewing for late summer.
Doubt it will materialize in that time frame, but it gives me hope that there will be one at some point

i gotta give more love to big boi's new album. i've been recommending it to everybody. just a damn solid album. his rapping on every song is just smooth.

I don't generally enjoy a lot of Ross but I thought Maybach Music 3 was much better than the Mason song
I haven't listened to much Ross myself and haven't encountered any tracks he's on that made go "Must have that" and load it up on my Zune. That song linked sounds alright though!
I think I'm going to go back and give another listen to IDE & Skavenger's Addicted to the Vision album from this year. It has a couple sick joints on it but not much presence on Youtube for me to link to. Fortunately one of my favourites is uploaded, check it out (starring verses from Shabaam Sahdeeq):
I feel like I should know where that sample is from but I can't for the life of me think of it.
The other entry on its tracklist I'm really loving is "Reality's a Razor" feat Tone from Problemaddicts. Can't find it anywhere except on itunes to preview though (track 6), but the excerpt should be enough to showcase its dopeness.
Everytime I see that clip it freaks me out. I'm so used to seeing cats battle with shit that's obviously prewritten, or suspiciously on point. But Slug and Eyedea right there have an observably improvised chain of thoughts and are still sick with it; it blows my mind. How can dudes think that fast?
Any other examples of MCs that kill it off the dome?

Well, there's always Supernatural.
I've got an hour freestyle from some radio show (not sure what it is) called the Orphanage it's slug, eyedea, sage francis, aesop rock, blueprint, illogic and one other who's name is escaping me. Anyways, if you haven't heard it already I suggest checking it out. Pretty incredible hour of freestyling.
Man All White Everything is an awful awful single Jeezy. Stray from that, and stick to your Lose My Mind remix with Drake. Thats the album i want.
Less Shawty Redd the better.

Hey! Hey rap thread! Wake up!
Thanks to shaz I just heard kanye's new track Monster and it's pretty goddamn good. Grimy beat. Not sold on the Bon Iver, but oh my fucking god Nicki Minaj's verse absolutely slays it. Worth checking out just for that, I'd say. Cop it at http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/blog/2010/08/monster/ - fyi - might be NSFW.

A search didn't bring up anything, but I just heard about Chiddy Bang and they're rocking my face off. I'm heavily anticipating their album dropping in October

Krizz Kaliko just released his new album today, it's called Shock Treament
I highly recommend him as an artist in general too. He's like the Sinatra of hip-hop
Really? I heard him on a few Tech N9ne joints way back when and he never really caught me as anything other than "Some dude the headliner knows that can fill out a few verses for the album"

Could you imagine the millions in royalties all the members would get if Domino's sold that?

Will i draw flak in this thread for that?

I'm a big fan of Slug, but watching this makes me sad that a lot of his freestyling is not as solid as it is there.
Any other examples of MCs that kill it off the dome?
No this isn't improvised (at least most of it isn't), but it is still a fantastic freestyle from a fantastic MC that died way too young
They couldn't clear the Coldplay sample, so it didn't make Adventures of Bobby Ray sadly.

Uh, his hair's not bleached anymore. Other then that, I think he's the same...
I guess I assumed we'd wait another decade or so.
And Black Thought it going to be on it.
And J. Cole's debut is coming soon, with no features which is a nice change
Less Shawty Redd the better.
