I LOVE these. Did you ever do more of those black/white/purple acrylics. I thought you said you were doing more. Did i miss them? was i wrong? Having a 3 week old i barely have time to get to the forums
I haven't done anymore of those acrylics but I'm going to melbourne in.. shit... 7 days - That snuck up fast - to do some on the street, so I've got lots of drawings in my files. I'll post the street stuff when I get back, I'm excited. 8-)
Your baby is cooler than anything we post will ever be so I think your priorities are spot on.
robots I dig that last doodle. The one eye sore for me is that youve designed all the other lines so nicely yet the nose line that splits the forehead doesnt flow with the rest of the design very well. If it matched the cruve of the hairline on the left maybe?
If you're talking about the line that tops off the nose, it does match the angle of the jaw, but I see what you're saying - might be better off without that line all together, it's a messy area with all those converging points. Brushes actually records your entire drawing and you can play it back once you're done - I was I could export that and show you guys.
This has been taking waaaaaaay too long to get results as mediocre as these- I know I've been learning a lot the hard way (zbrush->maya workflow, how to render normal maps, retopologying, dealing with alpha hair, etc), but still. Still a lot of texture work that needs doing.
i tried doing some anatomy from memory and it's pretty awful so I'm not going to post it
suck on that, artists
Post it anyway. My anatomy is pretty terrible, too. But I still post it from time to time.
I found that for me the fastest way to learn is to do like, 5 studies from reference and then one from memory to test out what you learned, then just rinse and repeat until you are wakka.
Aumni- I'm liking it, but I feel like it really would benefit from some high contrast highlights, it's all sitting around the same tone right now, and reads as a bit bland.

Thanks for the eyes man. I started to bump up the contrast in a few areas because it was definitely feeling that way.

I love the colors in that Wakka.
anytime, I think it'll look pretty awesome when you finish it.
Needs mechanical spiders interacting with pedestrians.
edit: The sidewalk on the (viewer's) right appears to be a bit off. That, or it has one of those things that lets you turn around on a narrow street without going into the sidewalk/shoulder.

Yeah that's basically just an advertisement for the Liberal party. Alan Jones is an even bigger right wing nutter than Tony Abbott.
Goodnight!

Been detailing this for a bit and wanted to get some opinions. Still got a ways to go.
I gotta fix her face and the background, but anyone else have any suggestion for this?

I might continue on and color this or start something new.

This one is still not complete:
