This really is fun as hell, and it's the little details that make me love it more and more.
The achievement names alone make me giggle.
But yeah, getting up to like level 12 or 14 or whatever and opening up a whole pile of new shit last night was awesome, and crushing 6 maps back to back with a PA crew is an order of magnitude better than 90% of the public games I've been in (yes, I know, nothing new here, I need to add more of you people to my Steam friend's list).

Got to level 17 or 18 last night. Even with all the stuff I've unlocked, the only really useful one is the flamethrower. And double vindicator sargeant seems to be the most effective shit either way.
Removes the camera shake effect when hit by an enemy.

Places a fast reload bar under your actual marine so you don't need to look in the corner to time your reload. Or rely on the poor cursor fast reload bar.

First one enables firstperson mode, second one hides your marine so you can see, third one changes the camera controls to be more FPS like.

Man the more I play this game the more I love it, but I'm convinced Insane is the only way to play once you get the hang of it. After a few playthroughs, Hard is pretty easy. I got two friends to play with me...it was their first time playing, and after a couple hours of playing, we were all breezing through Hard pretty easily. Insane, it seems, is much much more fun because of the challenge it presents. Don't get me wrong, Hard still presents a nice little challenge, but once you get a feel for the game, hard feels like it should be the vanilla difficulty.
I won't lie...we were pretty surgical with that shit. We finished every mission within two tries and I think only had one mission where we didn't all make it out alive.
I'm trying to think...it was basically everyone with Tesla armor, since there are pretty much nonstop parasites on insane...dual medics with tesla guns/mediguns. One dude, FlatEric, with the chainsaw on point (and with a sentry if need be), as well as a fourth with a tesla gun + misc. (whatever the level might have called for, usually a grenade launcher/flame thrower/sentry)
