    my order confirmation for my east badge from last year is dated Dec 11, and I probably ordered mine close to the start of pre-reg, so you've got a few months to wait.

    Yes but it will be at a larger venue this year. We'll see how it goes.

    Reg opened in October last year, according to the site. Late October. I'm not expecting it for a few weeks, which is very good for me as it will hopefully let me set a little more cash aside for hotel registration when that officially comes up. (I know the scheduled dates, of course, but I'm waiting to see what the Travel Desk has to offer, and want to get the dates from the horse's mouth besides.)

    Prereg for east opened even earlier than October. It was open nearly a year in advance but it wasn't announced until later. The date on my confirmation email is 4/1/09 but.

    Is there a mailing list for when Pre-Registration (Both Prime & East) opens up?
    If not, there should be.

    Right now the counter is going up, so I don't recommend viewing that website if you're emotionally vulnerable.

    I beat David C to the Prime badge announcement this year, and that was 4/2/2010 and Prime was 9/3/2010. Therefore, doing the math, that's about 5 months and 1 day prior to PAX... just another data point to add for your estimation purposes.

    PS: I hate the fact that everyone (even ME) mistake for East to be LAST year, when it wasn't :P... it's still 2010 ;)
