For the past couple of days I've been on a trip with some friends to the mountains to go visit some caves, during which one of my very best friends admitted that she likes me. Apparently I'm the only one who didn't know about this since I'm so oblivious to those kinds of signals. And even I really care about her a lot, I just can't think of her in that way. We did talk about it a bit, but she was pretty drunk and it wasn't really enough that I can sure if she's okay with it.

Ugh... Three hours sleep last night. Tired.

I left my mouse at my parents house and remembered I have the mouse that came with my intuos4 that I've never used. It's actually pretty good, I used it to play some L4D2.

Which led me to think, does anybody here use their tablet in lieu of a mouse on a regular basis?

Clearing out some boxes from the storage rooms to get ready for moving. All my journals from middle school are angsty with poor spelling and spiky anime drawings. And I thought I was good at drawing, haha, this is all awful.

I doesn't make me feel bad, its actually a good reminder that this shit isn't magic and I have been working hard since high school. I remember a girl in elementary that was legit good at drawing portraits, I always wonder what happened to her.

Squid: when was that? Thats better than I was in middle school.

I wish I could find the kirby comics I made though. So much slapstick.

I can say that I have never once tried to draw anime characters.

Apparently this was a bad idea on my part, as it seems to be a necessary phase to get through before you can get really good.

I was probably 18ish ... I don't think I have anything from middle school era anymore. I also didn't draw a ton in middle school; I think I was too afraid of being judged.

You should bust out one of those then-and-now drawings that were all the rage awhile back. It'd be amazing.

Then-and-now drawings are even better when you draw a then-and-now self portrait to laugh at what you used to be/look like.

My self portraits werent too accurate. I drew alot of two headed dragons and purple wings with gel pens. Also they were kinda european dragons, I don't know when I moved away from that. I wouldnt mind redawing this:
    middleschool4.jpg
Thats from either 8th or 9th grade so probably 12-13. My dragons were also kinda wolves, but I don't remember anything about them now.

Remember when a few people here (and on DeviantArt) were doing the whole 2003-2009 thing? I started filling it in, and then realized that I didn't have very many digital files, so I scrapped it with the intentions of filling it in later. I really need to find some of my oldest pieces and scan them in - I think some of them are hilarious.

    Here's what I had, though:
    2003_through_2009.jpg

It also made me realize how little work I feel like I've done in the past year. I mean, I did a crapload for school, but...outside of that? I don't think I really did much of anything. Maybe the schoolwork completely took over...my senior year was ridiculously busy. :?

Horray! I almost put someone's retarded purse-dog out of its misery. I must have stopped about an inch from its stupid face. Pretty much was convinced that I crushed it but it continued to dart across a busy four lane downtown road in the dark and rain a few seconds after I had given my brakes a good test.

Its like everything reduces down to anime for people of a certain generation. I think that at least the anime was a better start than the total drama island like drawings I see, but I guess they are equally horrible. I just wish I had something like Adventure Time as a kid.

Bombs, congrats on not squishing that dog. I hit a frog and felt super bad.

Edit: I'm Cataloging all the books in my house for my sister, I think she might own every orson scott card book. Like. All of them.

I love looking at old drawings and sketchbooks...even from just a year or so ago. It makes me feel like there is a light at the end of it all.

I just picked up some old drawing pads from back home to look at and wow, even stuff from the previous semester at school is so much worse than what I'm producing right now.

I was also prevented from creating art because I'm retarded and have devised possibly the most deceptively difficult way to play this song on my guitar.
