in fact, don't watch it for the ass to ass part at all. because you'll probably be crying by then and it is in no way umm, exciting in the way that sounds like it might be.
Yeah, at this point in the movie, it's gotten so depressing that the "ass to ass" part is horrifying. But it really is a good culmination of what the movie has become for the characters.
oh sure, I think it's a great movie
I used to say 'I think it's good but I will probably never watch it again' but then it started to be on cable and I watched it a lot, and I've watched it a few times on disc. really very good.
seriously, why doesn't DARE force 5th graders to watch those 2 movies back to back? much less costly and more successful.
yeah for real
blow for some reason hits me harder. it might be that in requiem you see what it's gonna be, and as much as they have 'a plan' and shit, the writing is on the wall from word one.
where as blow you actually feel positive at certain points. or at least I do. like he's a criminal but he's not that bad, and shit he's getting rich, and this is funny and beautiful people... and then...
edit - I say hits me harder but requiem is another level of dark. I just meant the contrast between the 'good' parts and the endings
requiem will give you nightmares
blow builds you up and then throws you against a brick wall.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

do you remember watching requiem?
I remember what I was doing when I was watching it.
Great night of MNC tonight. Kicked some serious ass as an assassin; probably my best assassin round ever. Murdered a whole bunch of tanks, which is super-unusual for me.

What is wrong with you?
I gotta check out the first one and then see this. should have a long enough theater run that it's not a problem.
I laughed so hard at that part. Then I felt so bad because of the situation she was in.
Yeah watch the old one, it holds up well. It is fun to watch both!
I've acquired it, just a matter of taking the time. probably by the weekend.

I own it and I get queasy every time I think about it. So much horribleness in one movie.
*shudder*
That was a long time ago, maybe I should view it again
Someone else brought up Blow which I do remember finding depressing as hell. Also an all-around good movie.
I was amazed by the "young" Jeff Bridges
The visuals were amazing and the music was awesome
The story and dialogue were lacking but it's not like the first Tron was going to win any awards for best script either
This is not a general term, and is restricted to the film.
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
do you remember watching requiem?
oh oh black betty
so goddamn weak
Like 1 second and BAM, "MONGOL800 小さな恋の歌".
midnight express
I wasn't bummed after watching it, just numb.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
I remember what I was doing when I was watching it.
and I remember parts of it.
The baby part
One night, we did the hardcore version, and counted caffeine as a drug; do you have any idea how much coffee they drink in that movie?
iconic but not really scary.
Creeped me out first time I saw it.
Still a good movie, but gah!
you have to play the grinch drinking game
drink every time you hear the words 'christmas', 'who' or you see dog abuse on the screen.
I mean, other than vomit.
also fucking dark. goddamn.
duna, you were in atlanta right?
I'm in PA atm.
you met me a few months back.....
It was very creepy the first time I saw Trainspotting. I was at a cinema on my own and really not expecting it.
the entire grinch movie is only 20 minutes long.
the old cartoon not the new jim carey pile of shit.
Is the 3d integral to the experience, or can I skip that?
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
it was not bad as far as harry potter films are concerned
lack of snape was disappointing but i assume this will be rectified in the second half
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
I am also curious about your opinion.
So far, I've seen opinions range from "worthless, added nothing" to "great use of 3D, added a lot" o_O
