I know my lineage from right here runs atleast back to before the black plague
there were three people in Rogaland that a lot of people here have their ancestry from, and those three had a genetic flaw that means increased risk of breast cancer if you have it
my mom took the test, and didn't have it, but it is in the family, so I know one of those three sired attleast one ancestor of mine

The depressing thing about illness is that the more often you get illness the more likely you'll get ill again later.
It's one horrible helix of doom.
Yeah, like chicken pox or specific influenza strains or wait a minute that's not how disease works at all.
Unless you mean 'people probably keep the same lifestyle choices that led to their diabetic foot being amputated in the first place'
hey, Daxon is a medical student. I think he knows a LITTLE BIT MORE about medicine than you mister
Pretty much... I would have assumed I had misinterpreted Daxon's post if I thought he was absolutely wrong (like Leary did/does here) rather than jump straight to snark.
But, just because he's a medical student doesn't mean Daxon couldn't be wrong.
Ugh. Feel a bit bad about not telling my doc about the trans stuff, but I didn't want to have that conversation right now.
trans stuff?
Being trans and going on meds soon.
Why would it matter? I think I'm missing something.
Yes, I still don't get it? The meds mentioned might be something related to SRT? But I don't see how that would matter unless she's also loaded up on other stuff from the doctor that might interfere. But those things are big assumptions with no basis.

I was being sarcastic. Medical students can be idiots like any other student. My mom worked in a teacher hospital for 25 years. I went to work with her during the summer quite a bit. I'm not impressed by medical students and doctors. I'm not even impressed by the ability and skill anymore than I am a skilled mechanic.

Yes I take meds from that doctor and I think I have the responsibility to inform someone who's being so gracious as to oversee my health about everything.
will you paint it maroon and have the horn play the aggie fight song
yes
YES
I will even put an obnoxiously large aTm sticker on the back and another sticker that says "HOWDY DAMN IT!" and one of those license plates that has my initials and my class year

I hate giant spiders
having one illness can compromise the bodies immune system and make you more susceptible to a second infection

I might be wrong but meds can have unintended side effects and such due to differing body chemistry
Like for instance my body would probably react differently to my sister's anti dependants than how her body reacts

Oh man. I'm blanking pretty hard. Most of the stuff I do in Toronto is like, go to Pony's apartment and play board games.

so this is what richy should do right
That is kind of why I am so woefully ignorant of science ... some kind of natural revulsion to the expected
