Yaya and good do not go in the same sentence. You should watch The French Connection.

The documentary noms are kind of bullshit. I'm thrilled Exit and Restrepo made it, but there were many, many more deserving than Gasland or Waste Land.
But I can actually really get behind the new ten nominations for best picture format. Every single film there deserves to be seen, regardless of whether it's "the best of the year." Without exception.

I can't decide if Black Swan or Inception should win for cinematography.
Other people went over this earlier, but I'm still a little surprised Social Network is up for all these awards. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but nothing about it screamed "this is the best movie of the year." I'm fine with it winning, though, if that makes it any sense.
Also, about how it was dramatized? The sequence where Mark is taking the pictures from the dorm facebooks is pulled straight from his livejournal (they changed the name of the girl he mentioned at first). I thought that was really cool.

EDIT: Looking over the list there is going to be some tough decisions.
Tangled had better win best song. How did it not get a Best Animated nom?
yeah, it's quite an honor
why was it nominated for adapted screenplay instead of original screenplay? was it based on something?
Up's truly outstanding original soundtrack give it the edge for me. Up was the best film of last year as far as I'm concerned.
Because it's a sequel.
