Oh wow I remember that song. Does that make me old or just retro?
I'm the one that brought it up and I could be wrong, but I don't think eighteen years is an "old" age.
QED: retro
Agreed, although I'm eighteen as well and that's the first time I've ever seen the video.
Screw all you young people. Back in my day, we had 150 Pokemans and MC Hammer was the shit.
I know I am not old, but being 25 and hearing people say they are 18...I just don't know what to say. Haha. Feels like yesterday that I was just turning 21.
Hi all. I'm a huge pokemon player. I was told at the last PAX East that there was a large pokemon community here. I love to trade pokemon as I breed pokemon for others to use in tournaments. If you have requests, let me know!
Question to the gym leaders. I know we all joke about "even if you lose, as long as you show you love your pokemon you can maybe get a badge," but how often does that really happen? I don't envision you guys giving badges to everyone that loses, but I am not a gym leader. Heh.

If it's any consolation, I already have a couple gray hairs.

Does that make me the old man of the Pokemon League? I'm 34...but if it helps I'm incredibly childish and immature.

I know exactly how you feel my friend. Never thought I'd say it, but the years do go by fast.
Random: When I typed " Vanilla Ice", all that came to mind was "No no!! You see, their song goes like this <insert clip>. MY song goes like this <insert clip>. They are completely different!!". (hehe lets see if any of you young-ins know what the heck Im talking about!!!

Rarely, to be honest. Most matches really aren't that close.
Here's some things that can sway me into giving a badge even if you lose:
- The match being really close and coming down to a lucky miss or switch.
- Age. If you're under 13 or so and not a rude jerk. :P
- If people had an interesting team that's obviously not competitive but raised with heart. (RainbowTunnel might actually get one with her four shuckles. :P)
- If you're not going to be able to rematch me at all.
- Technical difficulties. At Prime there was one challenger that kept blue-screening my DS somehow. O.o
- Buying me a drink at the pubcrawl. (Hey, I never said I was objective!)

And that is one badge down...
Should I bring my DS to the Pre-PAX Dinner? Are any gym leaders? Heh.
I am heading to my friend's apartment tomorrow to watch it for a week. Training begins soon!
well, I have a nasty surprise for Propriety now, but I've been practicing off a few people to see what needs work. I'll be on this evening Dan, if you want to test it out versus a mixed team (ie not a Gym leader set up).
Last night I stayed up way past my bedtime leveling up. I've now got 4 of my 6 pokes up to or over level 50. Two more to go - hopefully finishing this weekend (both are starting around 30ish). Last step will be checking each to make sure there are no moves I really want them to learn at higher levels - otherwise I'll be all set to have my tail kicked by all the gym leaders.
The closest I've ever come to EV training was raising my girl from an egg with one of those hold items that boosts a specific stat on level-up. In retrospect, I wonder if that was a good idea, since she has one astronomically, lunatically good stat and a bunch of kind of rubbish ones.
Maybe I'll just feed her vitamins until she speeds up a little.
Hmm...So Poetic's really good? Where can I battle him? Does it have to be on the DS? I think I can manage that, but I'll need to find a wifi cafe, and then erase my Pal Pad.

Yay! I don't expect to win against anyone, but this warms my heart.
I don't know how to bring this up more subtly, so I'm just going to BAM put it out there:
Anyone who loves Firefly/Serenity (tv series/movie by Joss Whedon), read on. Everyone else, ignore.
Basically, Browncoats on teh interwebz are trying to buy Firefly from Fox and give it to Nathan Fillion so he may produce more awesomeness for us (aka new content!)

Uh, yeah, Fillon has said that he doesn't want people donating money to this. That was just a thing he said in an interview. Whoever is running that donation scheme isn't involved with Nathon Fillon in any way.

Yeah I know (: The person who's getting all this together isn't accepting money either. It's just to see if it's plausible to get this off the ground. If they get the people needed (like, say, Joss Whedon) and the money assunder, then we might have the green light to take off. Untill then, everyone knows it's just an optamistic outlook on what could be if the stars in heaven align.

Ah, then maybe the one I'm thinking of is somebody else, because I heard there's somebody out there actually taking donations for this.

Oh wow that wouldn't be right. The people who are doing it this time have a three-phase plan.
1.Generate awareness to get the attention of some serious folks, try to estimate how much we’d raise via a no-cash pledge system
2.Get their buy-in to help make things happen
3.Raise the funding for real, not just pledges
At the moment they're halfway through phase one, which is all momentum and no mula involved. They say as much on the front page of their site (which I linked to in my first post about this).
As far as the "right people" are involved, like Nathan Fillion and the like - they have nothing to do with this at the moment. Jose Molina (one of the writers), Jane Espenson (wrote an episode), and Jewel Staite (Kaylee), and all said they'd be back at the drop of a hat. That's all more eloquently said on the CNN article (which I also linked). They say it a lot sweeter than I do.

4pm. Woo. I will try to make it a point to be there. I gotta check the PAX schedule to make sure there is nothing I want to see then.

If it makes you feel any better, half of my team is weak to fire.
The rest are resistant (or double-resistant).
Hmmm, would anyone be down for a Spin Trade during that meet up? :X

Our leaders are nowhere near as difficult.
I hope not >.> I've put weeks worth of planning into living out my childhood dream <.< although I did get pwnx'd by Coco a few nights ago >.<
Furthermore, if this PAX goes well for me and I can make it next year, I'm semi hoping to apply for Gym Leader/Elite Four
