this doesn't really bother me because drake's lines are terrible and glover's are mostly pretty good
the reason i hate drake for the punchline style is being it is so fucking lazy and one-note when the rapper puts no effort into it, but when you're slipping in really clever references/puns/jokes (rather than gudda gudda's legendary "i got her n****, GROCERY BAG") it's still entertaining
i guess partially it's an issue of his persona for me in this sense. like it's not necessarily just the flow/lyrics disconnect, but i'm like "donald glover why are you rapping so aggressively about bitches, you are popular for playing a romantically inept manchild."
I'm also not really into his Gambino personality. I don't like his music. I think the dude's awesome aside from that and if so many people like him as Childish Gambino he must be doing something right.

someone told me that line was in bedrock and i completely refused to believe them until i had heard it myself three or four times
i feel like the jet age of tomorrow could be really great, they just need a minute to develop as a group
their stuff has its moments, but i set it aside pretty quick
it's pretty disposable but i really like it for Driving Around Tunes
we'll see how i feel when i use it as Pre Party Tunes

I enjoy some Childish Gambino but a lot of the times it sounds like he's almost trying too hard. Also in his earlier stuff he bites other dude's styles pretty hard.
I'm literally in love with Donald Glover though so it's whatevs.
I try so hard to be cool down here, but it's so difficult! We keep having really lame people come play acoustic guitar at my school! That's all we get!
