New Accounts - All Usernames Dissallowed

My freind has literally been trying to make an account for two years, but has never been able to due to various problems.

The most recent one is no matter what username is entered, they are all dissallowed. Even the generic BaseballFan123. We have tried on multiple computers.

Any idea what is wrong?

    I disabled registration. PM the username your friend wants to a Mod or Admin.
